2. Visit the county jail: If you are looking for an inmate who is being detained in a county jail, you can enquire about the offender's location and status directly with the jail. Most county jails have websites with contact information and visiting hours.
3. Check court records: If the convict you're looking for has been sentenced, you can look through court documents to see where they've been imprisoned. Court records are open to the public and can be examined online or at the courthouse.
4. Hire a private investigator: If none of the preceding approaches work, you might engage a private investigator to aid you in your quest.

Online Inmate Search in Tennessee
Tennessee Department of Correction
1. Go to the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) website at https://www.tn.gov/correction.html.
2. Click on the "Offender Information" tab on the top menu bar.
3. Under the "Offender Search" section, click on "Find an Offender."
4. You will be directed to the "Offender Search" page. Here, you can search for an offender by entering their first and last name or their Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) number.
